Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has made it into AC Milan’s 26-man squad for the start of the club’s pre-season training under new coach Ruben Amorim, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
The Rossoneri will kick off training at the Milanello training centre on Monday. Amorim will assess his players before deciding on new signings and players leaving the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Chukwueze, who just returned from a loan, has a chance to impress the Portuguese coach. He aims to secure his spot in Milan’s plans for the upcoming season.
The 27-year-old’s inclusion comes with questions about his long-term future at San Siro. He was linked with a move away after not getting enough playing time last season.
But Amorim is said to appreciate the winger’s speed, versatility, and ability to challenge defenders. This gives hope that Chukwueze could have a bigger role under the new manager if he performs well in pre-season.
“There are some players who weren’t here last year. Chukwueze is staying with us; we need players who can play one-on-one,” Amorim said according to SempreMilan.
Also back from loan and looking to impress Amorim are Francesco Camarda and Yunus Musah. New signing Mario Gila has also joined the squad after moving from Lazio.
Young players like Aurelien Guernier, who recently came from Birmingham City, striker Andrej Kostic, and midfielder Christian Comotto are also part of the pre-season squad.
Portugal international Goncalo Ramos has not yet joined the squad. He is still on holiday after playing in the FIFA World Cup.
Meanwhile, Kevin Zeroli did not make the list after finishing last season with Juve Stabia in the Serie B promotion play-offs. He is expected to leave the club permanently. Warren Bondo is also not in Amorim’s plans and will train separately until he finds a new team.
