Nigerian singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, has shared photos from his recent meeting with businessman Aliko Dangote in New York. This meeting happened at a time when the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals' Initial Public Offering was being showcased on a Nasdaq digital billboard in Times Square.
Davido and Dangote posed for photos together during the event. This took place just days after Davido joined the Dangote Group President at Times Square. The refinery's IPO campaign is now getting attention worldwide.
In a post on Instagram on Thursday, Davido mentioned he had questions for Dangote. He described Dangote as someone who has the answers. He reflected on their meeting by saying, "When two generations of Nigerian ambition meet, the conversation is worth listening to."
Davido talked about his chat with Dangote regarding the refinery’s public offer. This offer opened on September 14 and will close on October 13, 2026.
The public offer includes 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at N525 per share. The minimum subscription is for 10 shares.
Davido's latest post came two days after he shared a video. In the video, he and Dangote stood under the Nasdaq billboard that displayed the message, "Made in Nigeria. Built for the World."
