Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, has surprised singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, better known as Mayorkun, with a Tesla Cybertruck.
The singer of "Unavailable" shared the news on his Instagram Story on Sunday. He posted a photo of the fancy electric vehicle and added a sweet message to his former signee.
"My gift to you. I love you #iammayorkun," Davido wrote. He also told an associate, "#babzii_chilling pls have it delivered 2moro."
Davido did not share the cost of the gift. The vehicle he showed is a Tesla Cybertruck, an all-electric pickup known for its modern stainless steel look.
A check by our correspondent revealed that the Cybertruck sells in the United States for between $69,990 and $99,990, based on the model and features.
In Nigeria, the price for this luxury vehicle is much higher because of import taxes, shipping, and other costs. New units are estimated to cost between N200 million and N340 million.
Mayorkun joined Davido Music Worldwide in 2016 and started his independent career in 2021. He and Davido have kept a friendly relationship, showing respect and support for each other in public over the years.
