Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, has surprised singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, or Mayorkun, with a Tesla Cybertruck.
The “Unavailable” hitmaker shared this news on his Instagram Story on Sunday. He posted a picture of the high-end electric truck along with a sweet message for his former artist.
“My gift to you. I love you #iammayorkun,” Davido wrote. He also told a friend, “#babzii_chilling pls have it delivered 2moro.”
Davido did not reveal how much the gift cost, but the vehicle shown is a Tesla Cybertruck, which is famous for its modern stainless steel look.
A quick search by our reporter found that the Cybertruck sells in the United States for between $69,990 and $99,990, based on the model and features.
In Nigeria, this luxury vehicle costs much more because of import duties, shipping, and other fees. New models are estimated to be priced between N200 million and N340 million.
Mayorkun was signed to Davido Music Worldwide in 2016. He started his own career in 2021, but he has kept a good relationship with Davido. Both artists have shown respect and support for each other over the years.
