Former Manager Explains Why Women Want Children with Kwam 1

Former manager of Fuji music star Wasiu "Kwam 1" Ayinde, Ayo Shonaiya, has come out to support the singer amid the ongoing argument over paternity. He said many women purposely want to have children with him.

Mr Shonaiya shared his thoughts in an X post on Sunday. This was after Ogechi Eleana claimed that the Fuji musician fathered and left her 12-year-old daughter. This claim sparked a lot of talk on social media.

He pointed out that many people discussing this issue do not understand Kwam 1’s life and how women are drawn to him. "Wasiu Ayinde is an enigma. People who have never been around him don’t know how his life is. He is a 'Chosen One'. Women line up just to be noticed by him, want to get pregnant by him and have his offspring. I have seen this with my own eyes," he said.

Mr Shonaiya argued that most of the focus has been on Kwam 1, while people ignore that some women want to have children with the Fuji star. He stated, "Everyone is talking about him and commenting. But do we wonder about the women who willingly and knowingly want to have children for this man? Why? Because they want a child with his bloodline. It really is like a 'souvenir'. It’s crazy."

He added that some women are still hoping to have children with the singer. "I promise you, as we speak, there are still some women out there who are waiting for their 'turn' to get pregnant by him."

Mr Shonaiya continued, "This is his reality. His world is different. He is not an ordinary human being. Only people who have been around him for a considerable period will understand what I’m saying."

Later on, the singer addressed the issue during a performance but did not directly deal with the paternity claim. While performing at the 10th coronation anniversary of the Onikate of Ikate, Lateef Adams, he referred to the pregnancy as an "unnecessary and free gift."

His comments got a lot of reactions from Nigerians. Many criticized him for making fun of Ms Eleana and her daughter. Meanwhile, Kwam 1’s saxophonist, Olawale Adekoya, defended the singer’s remarks and apologized to Nigerians.

This newspaper earlier reported that Mr Adekoya said they were not talking about Ms Eleana and her daughter. He explained that the rhythm came out of excitement and was never meant to hurt anyone.

According to him, Kwam 1 did not know what his drummer, Ayankunle Ayanlowo, meant by the rhythm until that day.
