The ongoing issue about the paternity of Fuji music star Wasiu "Kwam 1" Ayinde has brought back interest in his past comments about his family and relationships.

This controversy started after a woman named Ogechi Eleana said Kwam 1 is the father of her 12-year-old daughter, Azizat, but he abandoned them.

Kwam 1 later spoke during an event but did not directly address the paternity claim. His former manager, Ayo Shonaiya, also joined the conversation, claiming that many women purposely tried to have children with the Fuji star.

Fatherhood

Kwam 1 is one of Nigeria's most famous Fuji musicians and is known for having a big family. He has fathered children with various women over the years.

In June 2025, he made it clear that Emmanuella Adewale-Odebiyi is his only wife. He dismissed rumors about another marriage and confirmed his marriage to Titilola "Titi Marshal" had ended.

But rumors about divorce have followed the couple after his wife posted on Instagram, saying she would never lower her standards again. She mentioned that she found peace after a tough time.

The exact number of Kwam 1's children is not clear. However, many reports suggest that he has over 40 children.

Souvenir

In a past interview from January 2025, Kwam 1 talked about how he views his belongings as "souvenirs" that remind women of their time together.

"For me, the kind of life I’m living, if I go to a particular place and stay in one house, whenever I leave, I leave behind all the goodies I went there with. I turn them into souvenirs; they’ll use them to remember me for life.

"There are a lot of women I am no longer dating whose houses I have left clothes and shoes at, especially if the person has a child for me. I would say they should use those to remember me," he said.

Street experience

Kwam 1 said this behavior comes from his street experience, even though he has left thousands of shoes and clothes behind.

He said, "The experience I have gathered from the street is enormous. That is why I have lived my life so successfully."

He mentioned that he does not worry about it since Nigerian designers make clothes for him for free.

In 2024, the "Ade Ori Okin" singer faced public criticism over his parenting after actress Bisola Badmus accused him of neglecting their son, Malik.

She also said Kwam 1 did not provide financial support for the child. Although both of them later made up publicly at a ceremony in Ikeja, the accusations have kept Kwam 1's private life in the news.
