Sports betting company iLOTBET has kept its promise to reward people who took part in its 2026 FIFA World Cup promotion. They presented a N150m house to businessman Samuel Nneke. Four other customers won iPhone 17 smartphones and many guests took home household appliances during the grand prize event.
The event had representatives from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, media partners, and other stakeholders. Raffle winners left with electronic gadgets and household items before the main prize was handed out.
At the ceremony, iLOTBET Managing Director, Uma Ntima, said the company was celebrating more than just the end of a successful World Cup campaign. He described the presentation as keeping a promise made to customers.
"We gather today not only to celebrate an incredible World Cup journey but, more importantly, to honour a promise made to our customers," Ntima stated.
He reminded everyone that iLOTBET rewarded customers with a brand-new car during the 2022 FIFA World Cup and another vehicle during the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations. He added that this year, they decided to raise the stakes.
"As we approached the 2026 World Cup, we asked ourselves if we should give out another car. We decided it was only fair to give out a house to park the cars," he explained.
Ntima also said that integrity, transparency, and customer satisfaction were the main pillars of the company’s operations. He assured customers that even bigger promotions would come in the future.
Samuel Nneke, the biggest winner of the day, said faith and consistency paid off after winning the N150m house. He admitted he never thought he would own property in Lagos through the promotion.
"It is a feeling I cannot express. I never expected to own a property like this in Lagos, and iLOTBET has made it possible. I’m grateful," Nneke said.
The businessman from Sokoto called the property a valuable investment. He encouraged customers to trust the platform, saying his win showed the promotion was real.
One of the four iPhone 17 winners, Okeneye Oyinkosola, was also thrilled after winning in the raffle. He urged other users not to doubt future promotions by the company.
Highlighting the company’s growth, iLOTBET representative Steven said the firm aims to create the most trusted, secure, and innovative sports betting environment in Nigeria and Africa through technology, regulatory compliance, and responsible practices. He noted that the company has grown significantly over the past five years, creating jobs while supporting grassroots sports and community development.
During a media briefing, Ntima said iLOTBET started during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide an online gaming platform people can access from anywhere. He added that the company has continued to create job opportunities and customer rewards.
He also stressed the company’s commitment to responsible gaming. Only people aged 18 and above can use the platform, and they have put measures in place to protect vulnerable users.
Dr. Olubunmi Oti, the FCCPC Southwest Zonal Coordinator, said the commission monitored the promotion to ensure fairness and protect consumers’ interests.
"Our responsibility is to ensure that what they promise is what they deliver. We will also follow up to ensure every winner, including the recipient of the house, receives what has been promised," she said.
