Bayern Munich and England captain Harry Kane has been named the best centre-forward in the world. Football experts ranked the top 10 No.9s globally for mid-2026, and Kane took the top spot.
Kane beat some huge names in football. His impressive goal record, creativity, and overall attacking skills made him the most complete striker out there.
At 32 years old, he had a fantastic 2025/26 season with Bayern Munich. He scored a lot of goals and also helped his teammates with his passing and link-up play.
According to Planet Football on Thursday, Kane’s finishing, strength, intelligence, and leadership put him ahead of other top forwards.
Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain and Erling Haaland from Manchester City were ranked second and third. Nigeria's own Victor Osimhen came in fourth.
Osimhen's spot on the list shows he is still one of the best strikers in the world, even though he plays in the Turkish Super Lig. He was praised for his speed, hard work, and ability to shine in key matches.
Inter Milan's Lautaro Martínez, Mikel Oyarzabal from Real Sociedad, and Julian Álvarez of Atlético Madrid also made it to the list after strong performances for their clubs and countries.
Arsenal’s Viktor Gyökeres ranked eighth due to his great goal-scoring form. Germany’s Deniz Undav also got a nod for his recent games.
Veteran forward Robert Lewandowski from Barcelona rounded off the top 10. Even at 37, he is still seen as one of the most reliable finishers in football.
This ranking looked only at traditional centre-forwards and No.9s, leaving out wingers and wide attackers.
