Nigerian actress and content creator, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, known as Kiekie, has shared why she avoids working with some of her colleagues in the entertainment scene.
In a recent podcast interview that gained attention on Sunday, Kiekie said she won't team up with skit makers whose content she finds too vulgar or inappropriate.
She mentioned that such collaborations do not fit with the values and image of her brand.
"I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them," she stated.
When the interviewer asked her to name a specific skit maker, Kiekie chose not to.
"Let me think about it. Hmmm. I don’t have a name of one but I have seen quite a number of them," she replied.
Kiekie explained further, saying, "So if you’re too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it but it’s just brand alignment."
She emphasized that her choice does not mean she disrespects or criticizes the work of other creators.
"My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or I don’t respect what you do or I don’t see your hard work.
I recognize your hard work but we just don’t align. It will affect the way my own brands are approaching my own work," she said.
