Lookman shows interest in Galatasaray move

Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman is open to joining Turkish champions Galatasaray. This is possible if the club can agree on a transfer fee with Atlético Madrid.

Reports from Turkey say Galatasaray is increasing their interest in the Nigerian player as they prepare for the 2026/27 season. Fellow Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen is said to be helping in this pursuit.

Osimhen, who has been linked with a move to the Istanbul club, is reported to have talked to Lookman about the chance of joining him at Galatasaray.

The Turkish champions want to boost their attack. They just secured their fourth consecutive Süper Lig title and a record 26th league crown.

The 27-year-old is under contract with the Spanish club until 2030. He reportedly told Galatasaray officials to first negotiate with Atlético before considering a move.

His response is seen as a good sign for the Turkish club. They are now looking into the financial aspects of a deal for the Nigerian, who is said to be valued at around €40m.

Lookman's future is getting a lot of attention, even though he just moved to Atlético Madrid. Turkish rivals Fenerbahçe are also believed to be keeping an eye on his situation.
