Lionel Messi is making history in football. He reached 937 career goals and 428 assists after scoring and assisting in Inter Miami’s 2, 1 win against New England Revolution.
The Argentine star showed his great skill again, helping Inter Miami win on November 1.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano shared on X, “Lionel Messi reached 937 career goals and 428 career assists by delivering a goal and an assist for Inter Miami overnight.”
Messi assisted Germán Berterame’s equaliser in the 69th minute. He then scored himself in the 83rd minute, securing the win for Inter Miami.
This performance adds to the impressive story of the 39-year-old's career. He is getting closer to the famous 1,000-goal mark.
With 937 goals, Messi is now only 63 goals away from 1,000. His 428 assists also show how he contributes as both a scorer and a playmaker.
Even at this point in his career, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner keeps impressing fans and showing why he is one of the greatest players in football history.
With 937 goals and still counting, the real question is not if Messi is great, but how many more records he can break before he retires.
