Old Video of Rape Victim Surfaces, Shows Her Views on Virginity

An old interview of 20-year-old Favour Agbro, who was reportedly raped by a Delta-based content creator and later died, has emerged on social media. In the video, she talks about her choice to stay a virgin until marriage.

The interview was done in Asaba by content creator Itz Patorchizzy. It was shared again on Facebook on Thursday after news of her death broke.

While sharing the clip, the interviewer said he initially did not believe the young woman's claim that she was still a virgin. In the interview, Favour revealed that she did not have a boyfriend.

When asked if she had a boyfriend, she simply said, “No.” When asked why she was single, she replied, “Nothing, I just don’t have any.” The interviewer then inquired about her body count, and she answered, “None.”

When asked if she was a virgin, she confirmed, “Yes.” The interviewer also asked her age, and she said, “I’m going to 21.”

Discussing relationships, she mentioned she wanted a boyfriend but was looking for someone willing to wait until marriage to have sex. “I’m looking for a boyfriend, but it’s not really easy. It will be someone that is ready to wait till marriage,” she said.

The interviewer then asked her if she planned to keep her virginity until marriage, and she answered positively. The video has sparked many reactions online. People feel sad about the gap between her dreams and what happened to her.

This video resurfaced a day after the Delta State Police Command announced the arrest of a popular content creator, Ifeanyi Ogbonna, known as “Odogwu of Asaba,” for the alleged rape of Favour, who later died.

The police made this known in a statement on Wednesday signed by SP Bright Edafe. The arrest followed a petition claiming that Favour went to Asaba on June 1, 2026. She was invited by the suspect, who promised to teach her about content creation.

According to the police, upon her arrival in Asaba, Ogbonna took her to a hotel where he allegedly raped and assaulted her. “Upon her arrival in Asaba, the suspect allegedly took her to a hotel, where he allegedly raped her and subjected her to physical violence. She later returned home visibly distressed and disclosed the incident to her parents,” the statement said.

The police also mentioned that Favour recorded a video explaining her experience and the emotional pain she went through. “In the aftermath of the alleged assault, the deceased made a video recording in which she recounted her experience and the emotional distress she suffered following the incident. She subsequently committed suicide by ingesting a toxic substance and later died despite efforts to save her life,” the police added.

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Yemi Oyeniyi, instructed the Area Command in Effurun to investigate the claims after receiving the petition. The police said their investigations led to Ogbonna's arrest. They added that he provided useful statements in initial questioning and that investigations are still ongoing.

The command assured Favour’s family and the public that a thorough investigation would take place. They promised that anyone found guilty would face the full consequences of the law.
