Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu came back to play as a substitute for Trabzonspor in the 58th minute. But it was Mohamed Salah who grabbed all the attention with a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Galatasaray, who were missing Victor Osimhen, in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Galatasaray, who came to the Senol Guneş Sports Complex as the league leaders, really missed injured Victor Osimhen. From the start, they struggled to keep up with the hosts.
Salah opened the scoring within the first four minutes. In the 39th minute, he assisted Noah Saviolo to double Trabzonspor’s lead. Just before half-time, Salah scored again to make it 3-0.
Onuachu entered the game in the 58th minute with Trabzonspor already in control.
Galatasaray tried to attack to find a way back into the game. But they were caught on the break, and Salah got his hat-trick in the 80th minute. He ran through their defense and finished calmly.
Things got worse for Galatasaray when midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu received a straight red card after a VAR check. He was punished for a dangerous stamp on a Trabzonspor player.
With 10 men left on the pitch, Galatasaray now hopes that Osimhen can recover quickly to stop their current struggles.
