Paul Onuachu will likely score more goals for Trabzonspor now that Mohamed Salah has joined the team. This is according to Emre Güral, a former player for the club. He believes Salah's presence will open up more space for Onuachu, who plays for the Super Eagles.
Salah recently moved to Trabzonspor after leaving Liverpool. Güral pointed out that defenders from other teams will have to keep a closer eye on Salah. This will give Onuachu more freedom to make his moves during the game.
"Paul Onuachu will now receive the ball in a much different way and create different positions. Onuachu will create more space because the opposing team’s players will focus on Mohamed Salah. Onuachu is a very good striker with consistency in scoring goals," Güral said in an interview with Turkiyegazetesi.
Güral also mentioned that Salah’s skills will make Onuachu even more dangerous in scoring situations. "If he finds a little more space thanks to Salah, he can score many different goals. A player like Salah is a plus for any team. When Salah attacks, the opposing team will be forced to try to take precautions. If precautions are taken against Salah, players like Onuachu will find more space," he added.
Onuachu has made a permanent return to Trabzonspor after a successful loan period. He had a great 2025/26 season, finishing as one of the top scorers in the Turkish Süper Lig with 22 goals.
Now, Onuachu is looking forward to building a strong partnership with Salah as Trabzonspor aims for success this season.
