Super Eagles players, Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman, all scored goals for their clubs on Saturday. They are having a great start to the new season, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Osimhen kept up his good form as Galatasaray beat Göztepe 3-2 in the Turkish Super Lig.
Göztepe surprised everyone by scoring first in the 16th minute through Miroshi. Davinson Sánchez then equalized for Galatasaray. Osimhen helped Sara score to give Galatasaray a 2-1 lead. He later scored a penalty in the 63rd minute to make it 3-1, bringing his season total to five goals. Göztepe managed to score again late in the match, but Galatasaray stayed strong to top the league table after three matches.
Lookman shines in Spain
In Spain, Lookman scored his first goal of the season for Atlético Madrid in a 3-1 win over Sevilla. He found the net in the 33rd minute after Álex Baena had put the hosts ahead.
Iheanacho's impact in Turkey
In Turkey’s second division, Iheanacho scored and assisted in Bursaspor's victory over Kayserispor. This brings his total to six goals in four games this season.
The Nigerian forward has scored in every match he has played this term. He also found the net against Karagümrük and Igdir FK, and he assisted in the win over Bodrum FK.
