Peller Upset About His Family's Social Media Fame After Wedding

Nigerian TikToker Habeeb “Peller” Hamzat is frustrated with how much his family is now on social media. This comes just days after his wedding to fellow content creator Amadou “Jarvis” Aminata.

During a livestream on Tuesday night, the 21-year-old shared his annoyance about how his parents behaved at his white wedding. He also reacted to a viral video that allegedly shows his father sharing a hotel bed with another man.

Peller feels overwhelmed by the attention his family is getting. He claims his parents and siblings have suddenly become popular topics online.

“I don’t know what’s wrong; all my family members are now on social media. My father, mother, sisters and everybody have now turned into social media users overnight. I’m currently angry with them. I’m tired of their behaviour; they should just leave me alone,” he said.

Peller and Jarvis had their wedding events on different days. They started with a court and civil wedding on 29 July. This was followed by a traditional wedding on 1 August and a white wedding on 8 August, all in Lagos.

Looking back on the white wedding, Peller claimed that his parents ignored his wish to keep the guest list small.

“During my white wedding, I told them to invite only a few people, but my mother came with her boyfriend, and my father came with his girlfriend, and turned my wedding into a party.

“A polygamous family is a very bad thing. There are extended and nuclear families, but I come from a polygamous one; my father married more than one wife, and that’s my problem.”

Peller also talked about the viral video of his father in a hotel with another man. This video led many to speculate about his father’s sexuality.

He dismissed claims that his father is gay, but he admitted that he is not happy with him right now.

“You people who are calling my daddy gay because of the viral video of him in a hotel with a man on the same bed, how did he father me if he’s gay? I’m currently angry with him, and I’ve informed him that I’m not happy with him.

“I don’t know what’s wrong; all my family members are now on social media. My father, mother, sisters and everybody have now turned into social media users overnight. I’m currently angry with them. I’m tired of their behaviour; they should just leave me alone.”
