A court in the United Kingdom has postponed the pre-trial hearing for Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, known as Poco Lee, to February 2027. This happened because he did not enter a plea.

The Snaresbrook Crown Court has set February 8, 2027, for the plea and trial preparation hearing, as reported by BBC News Pidgin on Tuesday.

At this hearing, Poco Lee is expected to state whether he is guilty or not guilty of the charges against him.

The case was brought up on Tuesday, September 15. Poco Lee did not show up in court because the charge sheet was not available. Because of this, he could not enter a plea.

BBC News Pidgin also reported, "In court, Poco Lee did not appear because the charge sheet was not available. As a result, he did not enter a plea."

The report continued, "However, the pre-trial hearing will now take place on 8 February 2027, and he is expected to enter his plea at that time."

The trial is now set for March 8, 2027. The BBC report mentioned, "The trial has also been scheduled for 8 March 2027."

Snaresbrook Crown Court had confirmed earlier that Poco Lee was granted bail on September 11 after his first court appearance. The plea and trial preparation hearing was initially set for September 15, but since the charge sheet was not ready, the court could not move forward as planned.

Several Nigerians showed up at the court to support the entertainer. The courtroom was reportedly full, and some fans had to wait outside.

There were earlier reports on social media suggesting that Poco Lee was in the custody of UK authorities due to allegations against him. After his first court appearance, some social media posts claimed he had been granted bail. Videos later surfaced online of him talking about his experience in the UK.

The Snaresbrook Crown Court confirmed the bail decision to the BBC, stating that Poco Lee remains on bail.

Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, is a popular Nigerian dancer, hype man, MC, and entertainer. He rose to fame around 2018 when videos of his Zanku and legwork dance moves went viral. His dance videos caught the attention of singer Zlatan Ibile, and they began working together.

He has performed with various Nigerian artists like Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and Naira Marley. Poco Lee has also started making music, releasing songs such as YARD and Otilo.

He studied Microbiology at Lagos State University and is well-known for helping street dance become a big part of Nigerian pop culture, especially during the Zanku era.

The court has not yet determined the allegations against Poco Lee. He is still presumed innocent until proven guilty.
