His presence also allows Jesus to work with one of the most experienced players in Portuguese football as he starts training with the squad.

“He’s been called up for the upcoming games by new head coach Jorge Jesus.”
Portugal will kick off their 2026/27 UEFA Nations League campaign on September 24, 2026, at home against Wales.
Four days later, on September 27, Portugal will travel to Norway before facing Denmark away on October 1.
Portugal will then host Norway on October 4 in their fourth group-stage match.
The last two matches of the group stage will see Portugal travel to Denmark on November 14 and finish their campaign away to Wales on November 17.
Portugal is in League A, Group 4, along with Wales, Norway, and Denmark.
