Rwandan author, entrepreneur and cultural advocate Lisa Adeline Munezero is set to launch her new book, “The Well of Knowing: 8 Lessons of Becoming” in Lagos on 14 November.

In a statement sent to PREMIUM TIMES on Saturday, Ms Munezero said the launch will happen at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island.

She mentioned that guests will need an invitation to attend the event.

The book looks at eight lessons on knowledge, personal growth, living with purpose and the choices that affect individual success.

According to Ms Munezero, the book focuses on the idea that how people use their knowledge shapes the opportunities they create and who they become.

She encourages readers to rethink common views of success by looking at how self-awareness, resilience, discipline and intentional actions affect their lives.

Ms Munezero draws from her journey as an entrepreneur, her personal experiences and practical insights to discuss these topics.

The author explained that the book pushes readers to think about how they find their purpose, deal with setbacks, turn ideas into opportunities and use knowledge to make a lasting impact on society.

Through the eight lessons, she covers topics like self-awareness, accountability, resilience, entrepreneurship, continuous learning and passing down knowledge between generations.

Ms Munezero believes that having academic qualifications, ambition and opportunities does not guarantee fulfillment.

She says people must also be adaptable, make good decisions, and take careful steps toward their goals.

“Talking to students, aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals and new leaders, the book shows personal development as a continuous journey.

“It also looks at mentorship, relationships and responsible leadership as ways individual growth can help communities and future generations,” said the cultural advocate and dancer.

She draws on her entrepreneurial background, cultural activities and personal thoughts in her writing.

Although the book is based on African experiences, it discusses universal themes of identity, ambition, challenges and opportunities.

The book has received good reviews from people in literature and professional fields.

Isi Agboaye, founder of Step Out Creatives Publications in the UK and a dramatist, praised the book for motivating readers to find their purpose and turn their dreams into actions.

He compared its core message to Norman Vincent Peale’s The Power of Positive Thinking.

Aderonke Adeyinka, a banking executive and author of Threads of Love and Duty, called the book a valuable read for aspiring business owners and those on a path of personal growth.

She highlighted its focus on building resilience and embracing continuous learning.

Kenyan literary journalist, blogger and podcaster James Murua also recognized the book’s exploration of mentorship, community ties and the preservation of knowledge across generations.

The event will give guests a chance to meet the author and talk about the experiences and thoughts that shaped the book.
