Super Falcons goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has called her move to Crystal Palace Women a big step in her career. She is looking forward to playing regular football at a higher level.
Palace announced they signed the 21-year-old Nigerian on a two-year deal on Thursday. This follows her time with Portsmouth last season.
“It feels really good to be here. I’m very excited to get started. I’m aspiring to play at the highest level, so this is a really big step in my career,” she said.
Erhabor made six appearances for Portsmouth in all competitions during the 2025/26 season. She started her career at the Brighton & Hove Albion Academy. She then gained experience through loan spells at Hibernian and Plymouth Argyle.
In July 2025, she joined Portsmouth and spent one season there before moving to Palace.
Born in the Netherlands and raised in England, Erhabor chose to play for Nigeria internationally. She made her Super Falcons debut in February. She started in a friendly against Cameroon and was later included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
However, she did not play during the tournament and stayed on the bench throughout Nigeria’s WAFCON campaign.
Her move to Palace gives her another chance to grow her career in England. She hopes to get more opportunities both at the club and on the international stage.
Palace manager Jo Potter welcomed the young goalkeeper and spoke about her potential. “Comfort is a promising young goalkeeper, and we are thrilled to have her here at Palace.”
Erhabor’s transfer comes just days after another Super Falcons player, Rofiat Imuran, moved to Aston Villa. These two moves offer fresh chances for young Nigerian players looking to make their mark in the English women’s game.
For Erhabor, the next challenge will be to compete for playing time at Crystal Palace. She wants to continue developing her skills and establish herself at the highest level.
