Kano Assembly Member Promises Active Representation

Yusuf Datti-Hussaini, who represents Dawakin-Kudu Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, has promised to give his constituents strong representation. He is a member of the All Progressives Congress.

Datti-Hussaini made this promise while speaking to reporters on Tuesday after he was sworn in. He made it clear that he would not just sit idle in the assembly.

He said he will run an open-door and clear administration. He also promised to work hard to improve the lives of people in his constituency.

“I will not be here to sleep or abandon my seat. I will make sure I fully represent the people of my area in order to uplift their livelihoods,” he stated.

Commitment to Past Achievements

The new lawmaker also said he will continue the good work of his predecessor. He plans to keep track of motions already brought up in the assembly and start new ones that can bring real benefits to the area.

“I urge them to follow all programmes and sittings of the house to ensure that all that is being allocated to them, I bring to them, and whatever is missing, I urge them to ask me,” he said.

Datti-Hussaini emphasized that he is not here to cheat anyone. He is committed to doing his best for the betterment of his community and the state.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Datti-Hussaini was elected to fill the vacant seat in the Kano Assembly. This vacancy arose after the former occupant moved to the House of Representatives.
