Nigeria's Kingsley Ehizibue has moved to Genoa after parting ways with Udinese at the end of last season. The right-back made 32 Serie A appearances for Udinese during the 2025/26 season. This brings his total to over 115 games and four goals in four seasons with the club after his contract ended in June without a renewal.

Ehizibue is 31 years old. He signed a multi-year deal with Genoa on September 3. He completed his medical before the transfer was confirmed.

This transfer takes him back to a club that tried to sign him in January 2019. At that time, he was with PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands. The move did not happen because a snowstorm delayed his trip to Genoa. Instead, he ended up joining FC Koln.

He made his way back to Italy in 2022 when Udinese signed him from the German side. Ehizibue has also played for the Super Eagles. He received invitations to the national team from former coach Gernot Rohr.

His arrival gives Genoa a seasoned right-back and marks the end of a seven-year journey that started with the club's first interest in him back in 2019.
