List of the Most Underpaid Players in the EPL

Premier League footballers are some of the highest earners in sports. But some of them are still seen as underpaid when you compare their salaries to their performances and market value.

Using wage figures from Capology, a list of the 11 most underpaid players in the Premier League has been put together. This list shows players who are performing well but earning much less than their teammates.

Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen tops the list. The Dutch player makes £35,000 a week. He has proven to be one of the league’s best goalkeepers and is getting noticed by several Champions League teams.

Tottenham defender Djed Spence is also on the list. He reportedly earns £40,000 a week. The talented full-back has made a name for himself and is being talked about for a possible move abroad.

Brentford has three players on this list. Centre-backs Sepp van den Berg earns £20,000 a week and Nathan Collins makes £30,000 a week. They have become key players in the club’s defense. Winger Kevin Schade, who is the lowest paid on this list at just £10,000 a week, also plays a big part with his goals.

Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly makes the list too. After a great season, he has shown himself to be one of the brightest young players in the league. The 21-year-old earns £30,000 a week, but many think this will go up when he gets a new contract.

Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba is another surprising name. He is seen as one of the best defensive midfielders in the division, yet he reportedly earns just £12,500 a week. Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton also makes the list, with his £35,000 weekly salary seeming low for someone with his rising status.

Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye earns about £45,000 a week. He is one of the most important attacking players for the Toffees. Bournemouth teenager Eli Junior Kroupi earns £20,000 a week, and Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor earns £25,000 a week. Both had standout seasons that caught a lot of attention.

Even though these players earn salaries that many can only dream of, they are seen as some of the best deals in the Premier League. Their performances and potential transfer values far outshine their reported weekly wages.
