Liverpool has reached out to Brighton about a possible move for winger Yankuba Minteh. The Reds want to boost their attacking options, as reported by BBC Sport on Thursday.

The 22-year-old Gambian player has netted 10 goals and provided nine assists in 73 matches for Brighton. He joined the club from Newcastle for £30 million in 2024.

Minteh mainly plays on the right wing but is recovering from a leg injury. He got hurt during a friendly match against Roma earlier this month.

Liverpool is looking to add more players in wide positions after Mohamed Salah left the team. The club aims to check out several targets before the transfer window closes.

Earlier this summer, the Reds signed Victor Munoz from Osasuna for £34 million. Munoz can play on the wing or as a forward.

Another target for Liverpool is Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. But the two clubs are not close on their price expectations.

PSG reportedly wants about £145 million for the 23-year-old French player. Liverpool, on the other hand, hopes to negotiate a deal closer to £100 million.

Barcola is said to be open to moving to Anfield. But Liverpool's interest in Minteh shows they are still looking at different options to strengthen their attack.
