Nigerian forward Christantus Uche is drawing interest from AC Milan and Real Betis. He is getting ready to go back to Getafe after a tough loan period at Crystal Palace that ended without a permanent deal.
Footy-Africa reports that Uche’s team thinks a move away from the Spanish club this summer is likely. Getafe is open to selling him if the right offer comes in.
Milan has shown interest in Uche before. The Italian team wanted him before he moved to Palace, but Uche was eager to try playing in the Premier League.
Real Betis is also watching Uche's situation. But Getafe might not want to sell him to a rival club in Spain. Uche had 14 appearances for Palace in all competitions, with just one assist. This was a disappointing result, even though he had some good moments.
His best moment came in the UEFA Europa Conference League. He scored a fantastic trivela goal against Finnish team KuPS Kuopio, which many called one of the best goals of the tournament.
Despite his great goal, manager Oliver Glasner did not seem fully convinced about Uche's ability to handle Premier League football. As the season went on, Uche found himself left out of the team.
According to the loan deal, Palace would have had to pay €20 million if Uche had started 10 Premier League matches. That number was never met, so the club decided not to make the deal permanent.
Now, Uche is expected back at Getafe. The club is ready to bring him back into the squad but is still open to offers. Uche returns to Spain with something to prove and important choices to make.
