Super Eagles winger Yira Sor says he is getting used to life at Amedspor in the Turkish Super Lig. He believes that goals and assists will come soon, even though he has not scored yet, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Sor has played twice for Amedspor since moving but has not yet registered a goal or assist. He mentioned that adjusting to a new country and league is tough, but the fans and the club's management have made him feel welcome.

“I am gradually settling into life in the city, and I like it already, and soon, the goals and assists will come surely,” Sor said.

“Moving to a new country and a new league is usually not easy for any player, but I have been made to feel at home and welcome here, both by the fans and the management of the club.”

“It is still early days, but I am sure that I will succeed here and make the fans smile. They should expect good things from me. I like to consider myself as a fast and direct player who loves to set others up for goals and also score myself. Hopefully, the goals and assists to help my team do well will come. I am confident about that.”

Sor joined Amedspor in a deal worth €3m, signing a three-year contract as he starts a new chapter in his career.

He arrived at Genk from Slavia Prague in January 2023 and quickly became an important player for the Belgian team. However, injuries affected his time there and limited his chances to play.

Sor made his Super Eagles debut in March. He hopes that moving to Turkey will give him more playing time and help him stay in good form as he builds his international career.
