Nollywood actor and comedian Adeshina "Janmole" Oshin has died in a road accident. This sad news has left his colleagues, fans, and the Yoruba movie industry in deep mourning.

His death comes less than a week after veteran actor Fesogboye Oyewole passed away. This is another painful loss for Nollywood.

Bolaji Amusan, known as Mr Latin and the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), announced Janmole’s death on Tuesday in an Instagram post.

Mr Amusan shared that Janmole died in a tragic auto crash, but details about the accident are not yet public.

"May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace.
May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen," he wrote.

Actor Olaiya Akinyemi also confirmed the news. He shared a video from the accident scene on his Instagram page.

The video showed a damaged 18-seater bus that was believed to be carrying Janmole at the time of the crash.

"Inalilah Wainalilahi Rojihuna. This is sad. Rest in peace Adeshina Okiki Janmole," he wrote.

Janmole discovered his love for acting while in primary school. He officially joined the film industry in 1989 after finishing primary school.

Initially, his parents were against his choice of career. He used to hawk goods after school, and they felt acting affected his mother's work as a trader.

In an interview with Feel Right News TV, Janmole said his parents later supported him when they saw how dedicated he was.

He first trained in furniture making before appearing on screen in "Àsírí Ológbò." He gained fame for “Jamonle,” a film he produced himself.

Janmole was the first child in his family and came from Kajola Local Government Area in Oyo State. His father was a retired non-teaching staff member in a secondary school.

He also trained in acting and film production for four years under veteran Yoruba actor Rasaq "Ojopagogo" Olayiwola.

Janmole often played humorous characters, traditional village roles, and action-focused parts in films.

He was known for movies like "Agunbaniro," "Ìyàwó Asante," "Ọgbọ́n Inu," and "Orogun Adedigba."
