Poco Lee Released on Bail Ahead of September Hearing

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, has been granted bail in the UK. This comes before his appearance at the Snaresbrook Crown Court on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

The court confirmed this news in an email to PUNCH Online on Monday. They said Poco Lee was granted bail on September 11.

"The Defendant has been granted bail on the 11th September 2026," the court stated. They also mentioned, "There is a plea and trial preparation hearing on the 15th September 2026."

This confirmation clears up earlier confusion about Poco Lee's custody status. There were many reports saying he had been released.

But just because he is out on bail does not mean the case is over. The Crown Prosecution Service told PUNCH Online that the case is still active. Odinaka is still set to appear for the plea and trial preparation hearing on September 15.

Odinaka faces five sexual offence charges in the UK. These include attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of assault by penetration. He has denied these allegations and insists he is innocent.

In a video shared on Instagram by social commentator Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, Poco Lee talked about the case. He said he feels confident because he knows he did not commit the offences he is accused of.

"If I were inside there and I did what I was accused of, I would have felt I was paying for my sins, but since I knew I didn’t do what I was accused of, my mind is pure," he stated.

Poco Lee's legal troubles started after his visit to the UK for the Davido and Friends concert at the Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14, 2026.

The charges against Odinaka are still before the court, and nothing has been decided yet. He has not been convicted of any crime.
