Spurs Still Searching for First Goal After Draw with Everton

Tottenham Hotspur’s search for their first Premier League goal of the season continues. They played a frustrating 0-0 draw against Everton on Saturday.

According to BBC Sport, Spurs have now played four league matches without scoring. They have spent over 400 minutes on the pitch without hitting the back of the net.

Tottenham had a chance to score early in the fifth minute. Jan Paul van Hecke connected with a wide free-kick from Andy Robertson at the back post, but his volley went over the crossbar.

Everton looked slightly better for most of the match and nearly took the lead in the second half.

Thierno Barry had a great chance in the 50th minute. He met a cross with a close-range header, but Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky made a big save with his face to keep the score at 0-0.

Kinsky had to step up again in the 65th minute. After he made a poor pass from the back, it fell to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The Everton midfielder seemed ready to punish the mistake, but the Spurs goalkeeper quickly recovered to block his shot with his leg.

Tottenham could not find a late goal, ending the match with just two points from their first four league games.

With this result, Spurs are now 17th in the Premier League table, only one point above the relegation zone. Everton, on the other hand, remain unbeaten and sit in seventh place after a strong start to the season.
