Amedspor coach Besnik Hasi has praised Gift Orban for his great performance after the Nigerian forward scored twice. His goals helped the Turkish team come back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Kasımpaşa on Sunday, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
Orban came off the bench at half-time and made an impact right away. He scored a goal in the 59th minute and then equalized in the 83rd minute.
With these two goals, Orban now has three goals for Amedspor this season. He had also scored in their previous league match, helping them win 2-1 against Trabzonspor.
Hasi praised Orban for making the most of his chance when he came on in the second half. He noted how Orban's goals made a difference in two matches in a row.
“Scoring goals is very important for strikers. Gift did just that when he came on. He did it last week, and today he did it again in a way that directly impacted the game,” he said, as quoted by Amed TV.
The coach also mentioned how important it was for Orban to respond well after starting the match on the bench. He pointed out that the forward showed why he is a key player for the team.
“He gave a very good answer to the question, ‘Why am I here?’ while on the bench,” he added.
The 23-year-old joined Amedspor this summer on loan from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim. The loan deal includes a purchase option.
Before this, he had spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Italian club Hellas Verona.
