Nine-time champions Enyimba are still looking for their first point in the 2026/27 NPFL season. They have lost three matches in a row. Doma United, on the other hand, remain on top of the table despite a heavy loss to Kano Pillars.
Enyimba faced another tough game at home on Sunday. They lost 1-0 to Inter Lagos. Ezekiel Moses scored the only goal in the 18th minute, sending the Aba club to another defeat.
Now, Enyimba is the only team that has not earned a point after three matches. They sit at the bottom of the 20-team table with a goal difference of -4.
Doma United still hold the top spot, even after their 4-1 loss to Kano Pillars. Abdullahi Musa scored first for Pillars in the 20th minute. Captain Rabiu Ali added another goal just 13 minutes later.
Ahmed Musa scored the third goal in the 77th minute. Nasiru Salihu also found the net, helping Pillars secure a convincing win. Doma United has nine points from four matches, two points clear of Barau FC.
Kano Pillars climbed to third place with seven points from three matches. They are tied on points with Rivers United and Rangers International. Plateau United also has seven points after four matches, following a 3-1 victory over Shooting Stars.
Shooting Stars took the lead in the 15th minute. Jibrin Ibrahim equalized for Plateau United in the 50th minute. Seiyefa Jackson then put the home team ahead, and Gideon Monday scored the third in the 86th minute, sending Shooting Stars home empty-handed.
Abia Warriors grabbed their second win of the season, beating Sporting Lagos 2-0. Ikoi Etta scored first in the 88th minute, and Emeka Obioma added a second during stoppage time.
Warri Wolves also bagged a narrow win, defeating Kwara United 1-0 thanks to Ejike Ezekiel’s goal in the eighth minute. Nasarawa United and Rivers United played to a 1-1 draw. Musa Yakubu converted a penalty in the 84th minute to level the game for the Solid Miners.
In Owerri, fans enjoyed a high-scoring match as Rangers International defeated Kun Kalifat 4-2 in the Oriental Derby. With three away victories in Lagos, Owerri, and Aba, the 2026/27 NPFL season is proving to be unpredictable.
